COERR Mae Sot Organized Youth Volunteers Activity for Waterways Cleaning.

   Waste management is an important way to solve the environmental problem in every community, including Ban Mae La Temporary Shelter in Tak Province’s Tha Song Yang District which is a big community in which 34,204 displaced persons, as of April 30, 2022, have been accommodated.

   COERR Mae Sot deemed it necessary to raise awareness of the community members through environmental education and training; 3D waste separation training (reduce, reuse and recycle; including regular camp and water way cleaning campaign.

   On April 26, 2022, COERR and youth volunteer group members, numbering 57 of 44 females and 13 males, launched the Mae La camp’s water way cleaning by collecting floating trash such as plastic bags, bottles, broken containers, etc., in an effort to keep the water way clean for public hygiene, and to promote public participation in water resources conservation for livable and sustainable communities.
